About the studio

Quarrylight Studio is a small architecture and interior design practice based in Australia. We work on houses, apartments, workplaces, shops and public rooms, usually at a scale where one team can know every detail.

Our approach is simple. We start by listening: how you live or work, what the space needs to do and what it has to cost. Then we test ideas early with sketches and simple models, so the big decisions are made before they get expensive.

We favour honest materials, good daylight and joinery that earns its place. We would rather reuse a sound wall than replace it, and we design for easy upkeep over quick trends.

Most projects run from first sketch through documentation and site visits. We also take on smaller jobs: a kitchen, a shopfront, a single room done well.

If you have a space that isn't working, we'd like to hear about it.
